Mike,

Re: "Anybody got an aftermarket quote?"

The news report I saw said that aftermarket trading in AMD had been "suspended".
I haven't seen any quotes on Intel.

Make It So,

Mike, My guess is that Intel should easily clear the 120 mark and probably finish at 125. Just my gut feeling.

I had an aftermarket trade quote 5:10 a big trade went at 119 5/8 according to my discount broker. I guess someone realized that AMD's bad news was good for INTEL. Some of the earlier trades may have been lower as most overreact in aftermarket anyways--they don't wait for the story and just act upon the headlines. Too bad.

LOL

Mike, >>>
Will the AMD news cause Intel to rise or fall tomorrow?<<<

Looking at some charts, the last two times AMD announced something bad, one being the Q4 98 results being a little low, and the other being the "other" preannouncement about Q199, Intel stock price was pretty much unaffected in the following days. Like you say, though, who knows how the "thundering hoard" will react. To me the correct conclusion is that if company X has problems that aren't market related, which factory problems certainly are not, competitor Y should clean up.
