Subject: Strike Length vs. Down Dip

Seems to be a bit of confusion on SI about these
terms, and probably elsewhere as well. The
northwest dyke slopes downward to the east, at
about a 12-15 degree angle...the farthest
eastern drill hole that intersected said dyke is
about 2200 metres to the east of the outcrop on
the northwest peninsula. Hence...the down-dip
extent is 2.2 kilometres.

Drilling has extended the perpindicular
dimension significantly...from 1350 to 2000
metres, according to the news release. This
dimension is referred to as the strike length.
This dimension runs parallel to the outcrop...and
has a roughly constant depth...that depth being
zero where the kimberlite actually outcrops.

So...picture a rectangle roughly 2000 by 2200
metres. However...test holes are really really
sparse over much of that rectangle.

Looking real good so far, though!
