Thanks for pointing that out. I completely missed that. Yes I agree for a number of reasons. In fact I just said in another post that for high end merchandise (and drugs) the customer will demand a brand-name e-tailer, too.

William -- if I ask you nicely, will you help me make money? AMZN is such a small part of a much larger and more complex picture. I am trying to understand Softbank -- but I do not have a clear picture. What is up with this guy Son and what is the deal with Ziff-Davis? Is there a way to make money on Softbank? I am going to be away from my computers for a bit, but I will read anything you might care to post. TIA

I don't know if there are huge barriers to entry or not ... but lately all my online book purchases have been from B&N, Spree and buy.com. I usually go thr' shopping bots for selecting vendors.

I still visit the local B&N and love going thr' couple of pages of the book before I make a purchase.

Does AMZN convertible bonds pay any dividends ?
