MKTY and ERC are targeting different markets, if I understand the companies correctly. MKTY has developed a smaller unit appropriate for home/small business use, whereas ERC is looking at utility scale units. Also believe Allied Signal has a unit targeting the same market as MKTY. Utilities can afford a periodic maintenance schedule, but require greater efficiency. Home/Small businesses would want a plug it in and forget it unit. Has anyone heard any updates on ERC's efforts at San Jose? Any other commercial scale pilot projects?
