Michelle, merely because California has more people than other states does not allow us to make logical deductions on the nature of the entire country. While California is powerful, it is but one state. America has some 260+ millions people. To understand the nature of the superset, we must study the superset. From here we might make determinations about the subset, considering any special factors that might affect the subset. This is basic logic.
