Yes, a little kid would definitely have problems. You wouldn't want it at face level.

Jeeves once incapacitated a goose by flinging a raincoat over its head and whacking it with a paddle. I had a neighbor once with an obnoxious goose, and discovered that the best policy was to attack first.

ANd speaking of geese-
not really-
but I want to tell you something.
I just took Ammo to play practice and the high school has one of those flashing electronic boards out front-the kind that tells you there's an Open House, or a Ball game that night. And I almost went off the road because it was flashing, CHRISTIAN-WESTBROOK--! MERIT FINALIST!!

ISn't that COOOOL??????

I got a Chesapeake Bay Retriever in '84. In '85 when he was still not a year old I took him goose hunting. Now a crippled goose has turned a good young retriever into a lap dog many times but I kinda figured this would be controlled. I never thought about the giant in the Giant Canada Goose area.

First bird was wing tipped and sailed about 300 yards. Of course the dog beat me by a mile, nothing I could do to help him. Bud hit that goose on a full run and rolled him, spun around and grabbed him across the back. The bird was as stiff as a board until Bud delivered him to me. He fetched 24 geese that day, damn I miss that dog. He grew to weigh 148 when in shape and was one nice dog. More human than many people.
