Just lettin' ya know---

Flipping through the NY Daily News today, and saw another big ad for Fleet Bank's online banking and $50 buck offer if you pay two bills online.

Guess that my stumbling on their banner ad today was no accident -- looks like they have begun to step up a concerted awareness campaign, a la Citibank last year. Maybe we'll see some TV spots...

At the risk of belaboring the point............

I know how exciting it can get to watch a stock you own go up dramatically, but this is not a ball game. Investing is deadly serious stuff, often with life savings at stake, although when I see all hi-jinks going on in some of these stocks, I wonder when they are going to bring in the lions and the gladiators.

I let out a cheer too every now and then, but I do it in the privacy of my office when I think no one can hear me. One of the great strengths of this thread has been the absence of hype, and in it's place... perceptive thinking, knowledge, information, honesty, and loyalty. The fill in banter and humor is great too.

I was just sending out a message saying....let's tone it down a little
here and keep it as professional as possible.

On that score, I think we should not personalize or make fun of analysts in the Street who have made bad calls in the stock, even though their commentary may hurt us in the stock at times. Better to show where they are wrong in their facts and let the market show where they end up being wrong in their judgement.

If I have learned anything in this business, I have learned it is better to be humble.

Just the grey hairs speaking!

Look like a nice cup formation forming on the chart. Maybe will see a handle at the 42 level?
