GST,

OK, how about a favorite exercise of statistics. A multivariate analysis.

The target is amzn price. The factors are

1- general market action
2- broker actions
3- amzn price trend

Which factor was positively correlated with amzn, and which had no effect?

I say broker actions have a 100% correspondence with amzn.
In the last two weeks, the general market has zero influence.
And the down trend was reversed by H.B. And the uptrend stalled when broker comments stalled. The stall turned into an uptrend today within 10 seconds of the news about DLJ.

To me it is extremely convincing.

Why are you surprised with the tech drop? You've been predicting it for a month? Are you just annoyed at the timing?

By the way, forget about LSI, too. It will not do a thing without earnings. I notice First Call reduced estimates on it from 6c to zero for March Qtr.
