Elmer,
You are starting to sound a lot like Yousef. Too bad.
The K7 is in production. Last year it was ready for production. So what's the big deal?
Never claimed AMD had fixed their yield problems, AMD said they did.
Maybe they have. I said getting set back 2 months added to the Celeron cuts was a disaster.
I can understand why Yousef wants to twist the truth because he has egg on his face stating AMD wouldn't get the K6 past 300Mhz. You on the other hand have no axe to grind except for getting layed off.
That's why I posted to you. See if you can figure it out.
Actually I've found your skepticism rather refreshing from time to time so I hope you don't get in the Yousef rut.
Hey, I want to see the K7 too...
I might also remind you that I don't have a position in AMD while you and Paul are long.
As far as "the situation at AMD getting better", you could take that two ways you know.

Elmer,

Re: " I'm afraid that after so many of your (Jim) claims in the past have turned
out to be so far off base I just can't put much faith in you anymore. You
claimed the K7 was just about ready for production last year and now it's
well into March and still nobody's seen so much as a demo. You claimed AMD
had solved their yield problems and for the umpteenth time they admit they
haven't."

Elmer, Inside AMD information just isn't what it used to be ... Poor
Jim ... Maxwell "skipped town" and left Jim holding the "bag". And Jim
was so excited about those "mask fixes" too. <ggg>

Make It So,
Yousef
