Was it also assumed that there would be an absence of artifact energy present from signal-correlated disturbances, such as nonlinear distortion, phase jitter p-m sideband byproducts, etc. Or are these manifest in a form of total distortion [noise] products, inclusive to the SNR measurement itself? It's been a while since I've had an opportunity to give thought to Shannon and Nyquist.

I found the challenges and questions, along with your other comments in your post to shed light in some areas where I hadn't considered them as relevant at first, even if your observations were not in a supportive light of SR's claims, questioning more than answering. Thanks.
