neocon--

Oh, I think Mr. Reagan has plenty to confess, and I'm not the only one. Say what you want about the Nicaraguan "freedom fighters," policy differences don't cut any ice when it comes to murder and drug running. And, as a matter of fact, our lethal aid continued well after any differences on that policy were settled:

"The people in this country just don't think [aiding the contras is] a very good idea ... The American people have the constitutional right to be wrong. And what Ronald Reagan thinks or what Oliver North thinks ... [means] not a whit, if the American people say, 'Enough.'" -- Sen. Warren Rudman, R-N.H., at Iran-contra hearings

My sins are my own, even those committed, in my name, by my country.
