This much I can say. Aromasoft debuted a demo board at the last
Comdex containing a picoJava chip from LG Semicon. The performance
was "not good" and either the board or the chip was too buggy and
had to be dropped. Aromasoft is awaiting a "new board" from either
LG or Fujitsu but to date has not received it. LG is supposedly
working with a new picoJava II core (microJava?) but no silicon has
been produced yet. Aromasoft has not yet received a demo board from
Patriot so they are unable to compare the chips at the present time.
My guess is Patriot is waiting to send a new board with the .35um
version to them and several other companies. They are attempting to
port their TeaPotOS to the PSC1000 but when this will be completed
is anyone's guess.
