I remember one occasion when the whole 6th grade class had to march over to the church for Benediction. We marched up the center aisle of the church, boys on one side, girls on the other and then came to a stop. The nun gave the high sign to genuflect and the entire class, except me, got down on one knee with heads bowed. I came to attention, clicked my heels together and gave the "Heil Hitler" salute to the altar. Needless to say the nuns went crazy and I spent weeks writing "I will not........." Jim

During the visitation a Priest came in and everyone but me dropped to their knees and started some strange language. Thankfully the funeral home director motioned me over and we went for a Coke. Had an aunt die who was Catholic, she picked 6 Lutherans as pall bearers. That was a hoot. Finally the Priest came over and told us to sit until called.
