Geology: Virgin terrain, which means that it is harder to discredit at an early stage than an established camp with a new discovery would be (in that case, known deposits serve as a "limit" to the expected size, whereas here there are no such considerations - yet). Speaking for myself only, I fail to see the logic in staking claims to the NW, W, or N of the discovery as most of this ground would be in the Troilus volcano-sedimentary belt. It's not that this would be the kiss of death in geological terms, far from it as evidenced by the Troilus deposit for instance, but in terms of nickel exploration in general and the NWI discovery in particular, why bother reinventing the wheel when there were another 15 similar magnetic targets within 20-km or so of the Nuinsco discovery? And within the same host. Others used the same logic since the one crew we kept bumping into was Falconbridge's. Also, the Troilus belt has a much higher degree of previous exploration than the gneissic or basement rocks near NWI. One is more likely to find gold or copper, again using previous exploration as a guide. From where I sit, similar undrilled targets in similar terrain are worth a lot more than a 15-km long formational band of INPUT anomalies striking in a different direction in a different host (as some of the juniors staked to the NW, for instance). Be this as it may, I am not crapping on anyone else's deals or properties, just telling you what we thought was important within 30-seconds of reading NWI's releases a few weeks ago. Hopefully, the resulting exploration from the area play will result in several more NWI's. All we know is they have the first one, but who is to say it is necessarily the best one? I am most certainly biased, having a vested interest in the following companies, but I would suggest calling each and reviewing their materials and then decide for yourself: Dumont Nickel Inc. (DNI-M), Queenston Mining Inc. (QMI-T), International Kirkland Minerals Ltd. (IKI-V), Goldwater Resources Ltd. (GWR-V). FWIW, I hold shares in each, and am an insider of Dumont Nickel.
