Greg and thread, I thought that this article on lithium-polymer batteries was interesting:

darnell.com

My apologies if this was previously referenced.

Greg, I thought there was a consensus that early to mid April was the time frame we conjectured for PO's. I'm referring to posts of a few weeks ago. Do you remember if this is correct? Thanks.

Greg - Re.:"...volume is speaking louder than we want to
admit..."
Agree. About a week ago, I got a similar "signal" and posted so. At the time I had to rationalize the Conf. Call (?) and other statements like "they were running out of cash by the end of March", "want to bring the stock price up in the teens before doing a secondary" etc. and explain the stock price behavior. But couldn't. So, I prepared myself for a possible disappointment - no P. O.'s in March. I may be wrong, in crying wolf. Ram

Greg: I don't expect any announcements in March(but remember, this merely be me opinion). Recall(and I'm in no way patting meself on the back, heh) that back in December I stated end of 1st quarter AT THE EARLIEST as my guess as to the possible announcements of contracts. So far time has proven the accuracy of this guess. Conservatively, and referencing the most recent 10K where it was stated that the line(s) are projected to be fully functional by the end of VLNC's 1st quarter fiscal year 2000(this means end of March), I feel we may not hear anything for another couple of months(end of May to end of June).

This ain't a bad thing(despite my admittedly growing impatience, heh), just different from all the hyperbole being expressed. I would expect, however, IF VLNC is on track with their 10K statement, that in early April there'll be an announcement of line/plant efficacy(if'n they've got ANY P.R. sense at all). This I would consider a minor material event. What would be a major material event? Public OEM agreement of product efficacy and/or P.O.'s!!!! Period. Of course, assuming OEM's are gonna want to run tests of product coming off that publicly announced functional line(s) before making a final commitment is what makes me project the above mentioned May/June time-frame. I'll admit I'm talking out of me a...(heh) with regard's to this guess. But it's based on the only corporately sanctioned information available to all at this time.

I'd love to be proven wrong by VLNC corporate. Meanwhile, the current stock malaise allows me to continue me stockpiling since B.R. joining the board(and buying), along with insiders buying LARGE indicates things should be a'bubblin' in the latter half of this year........ ;-) To also it allows me to focus on other, more immediate return possibilites as well.

Regards!

John~
