i realize that w/ glenn's conversion to amzn bull this is a very different board than it was a few months or even weeks ago ... but

1. did anyone see thomas friedman's 2 OpEds re: amazon in the past week?
2. the wsj item today which discussed the chinese web site opened to sell books in china (there goes 20% of the book buying population)
3. herb greenberg's tsc piece today?
4. notice the fairly lame pop in the stock price even after merrill's/blodgett's reiteration + dell hook up

question: what rabbits left to pull out of hat?
software store? no longer real likely given dell's selling the same (as is compaq, cyberian outpost etc. etc.)
computers? no
a few acquisitions i guess ...

rob s and manish aurora -- like lonely voices whistling in the wind ... hjm and glenn -- the mental fatigue and/or losses seem to have worn you all down

just keeping powder dry and biding

lp

hjm amzn's market cap, were the stock price to grow @10% of last year's rate would overtake the gdp of the USA in ~ 10 years or so ...
