I know exactly what you mean, but I can't explain it. It's like being mesmerized, like a bird being hypnotized by a snake. I am ordinarily immune to such things, but it did happen to me once, and I can't explain it. Maybe the man believes his own BS at the time? Maybe it's just so much fun? Maybe it's just something that happens at an atavistic animal level? You can't control your emotions, you know, you can only control your actions.

I suspect that men who have "asshole" practically written in letters of fire across their foreheads are more fertile or sexually active, maybe. Could they have been the most foolhardy, and therefore fierce hunters? Most of these things that don't make sense rationally have some hidden explanation in prehistory that pertains to survival of the species, and women respond in ways that haven't made perfect sense for millions of years, not quite understanding why, of course.

Time and again I have seen women pass up perfectly decent fellows and flock to men that had "asshole" practically written in letters of fire across their foreheads.

Men do the same thing, Steven. I've seen it happen time and again and had to mop up afterward. Women have no monopoly on thinking with their groins or on falling in love with their own daydreams. Sometimes, I wonder if everyone has a certain number of utterly awful mistakes that have to be made and gotten out of the system during a lifetime.
