Micap,

I agree with what you said about speculating about hundreds of
millions of tons and even up to a billion tons on one little intersection.. What about the the other two hole?? Maybe it is
cut off in that direction.. Who knows.. Why didn't they release the assays on those holes, the first ones drilled?? They had the assays
before the third I am assuming because they were turned in first..
With one drill, the first hole is no. 1, first in first out.. I am
thinking if they had much at all.. they would have released the results... Why not? A venture company needs good PRs for future financings.. Besides it is just as dangerous from a legal standpoint to withhold good information as bad.. Especially for junior companies..

So some take one relatively narrow intersection, for a bulk tonnage deposit, and extrapolate that up to a billion tons.. they compare it
to Ertsburg and some of the great deposits in the world.. ON ONE HOLE.
Do you people know how many holes it take to define a deposit with some cetainty?.. Hundreds, maybe thousands drilled on 50 metre centers, or hundred metre centers.. to gain the certainty that the deposit has the coninuity of grade and tonnage to be economic.. All it is (the results) so far IMO is a little start early in a exploration project..

These are just some opinions of mine, (no pun intended) on a thread
that caught my interest, initially for investment, BUT NOW ONLY for
a study on the psychology of speculating ..

Good luck all on your decisions.. Coug

"Seems to be a bit early to speculate on a 'billion' tonnes of mineralization at this point."

I didn't pull the number out of a hat MICAP. Better informed and better educated people than you and me are thinking along those lines...and besides a billion ton porphyry in Chile is nothing that out of the ordinary....there are several copper porphyrys in Chile of that size...what would be out of the ordinary would be to have a billion ton porphyry with significant gold concentrations...just what we have here!. (Most gold/copper porphyrys in Chile are less than 100 million tons in size.)

There is lots of evidence to suggest that Lipangue is the exception for those that look for it!

From the NR: "
The balance of copper assays from 127 meters to depth, balance of gold
assays from 210 meters to depth, 297.5 meters, and all silver assays will be
released when completed and verified for DDH 99-03.

Due to the interesting geological and excellent assay results encountered in
DDH 99-03, management has approved a recommendation from Gordon
House, P.Geo., to expand the drill program. Several additional holes will be
drilled in order to undertake a more complete geological study of the deposit
at Alto de Lipangue. Anomalies on the neighboring property of Las Dos
Marias, historically containing high grades of gold, will be drilled at some
point during this current program. Since his early studies of the area in 1998,
project geologist Gordon House has theorized the existence of a large
mineralized hydrothermal system underlying the whole Alto de Lipangue/Las
Dos Marias property. DDH 99-03 appears to have confirmed this."

Seems to me that we have not seen all on third hole results yet and does't the above tell us that they are doing the proper thing to prove
what we all are hoping for?
Regards.
