Stich, Are you accusing the media of taking a quote out of context? I find that very hard to believe -- especially the 21 year old industry veterans/geniuses at Dow Jones. <g> I would be very interested to hear what you have heard about the ramp of the U-4 and how the quals went. It sounds like the ramp will be pretty steep ... they must have someone in mind? GMR update would also be useful. If you could send me over a free hat and/or a shirt ... that would be nice also.<g> --Duker

Stitch and La Traguhs, you seem to understand the quote by Watkins of SEG quite differently from each other. Stitch says the mood on SEG is quite high. La Traguhs says the hard drive companies earnings outlook for the next couple of quarters has been dropping recently. Is this the normal vision of the disk drive industry? I have to say that the feelings about SEG are quite bullish. The recent quote of Watkins was poorly reported and taken out of context (though others would have you see something sinister there).
