Crusader, is it not true that in a spinoff there is no real exchange of cash. If that were the case, the operations would be sold. In a spinoff, aren't there new shares issued for a new company while the old shares no longer own a piece of the split off operations.

For example, Widget, Inc., makes widgets and dingos. They split into two pieces. The old company, Widget, Inc., now no longer has a dingo operation. There are now two companies, Widget, Inc. and Dingo, Inc.

I think that there is no exchange of cash. The IDTC shareholders will now just own shares in two companies, one of obviously will be a rocket ship.
