OMNI - the ''LAST" true ''GIFT" and not for long/my # 1 BUY ! This is a sleeper - allways has been; the couple of institutions that trade it allways lag the mo-mo pops; they buy when the dust settles. They never chase rallys. Not pumping - don't have too with this one - but if you don't want to chase valuations on this run up - this is the one imho. OMNI has cut budgets dramatically since Q4 and is very, very well positioned for any downturn. The ''own'' the transition zone seismic services arena - read - NAT GAS & JACK UP AREAS - if VTS is getting bought - BUY OMNI ! Nat Gas in the GOM will be hot 2nd half 1999 - buy now; also they are in early and incredibly well positioned in So America - any permanent move in Oil prices and these guys are very well leveraged to ANY drilling activity pick up. OMNI has invested wisely in So America and is going into the Intnl markets to diversify - made savy acquisitions in last half '98 - hurt the year end numbers - but this will position them well for the recovery. This is the #1 BARGAIN - in the oilpatch service arena - 50% pop if OPEC cuts - as then, the Institutions that are in OMNI will buy.... lots of room in this one.... I am LONG in a very big way - sub $4 and here to under $5 is cheeeeeeapola ! I'm into this one untill $15+. This was the first stock I ever bought in the Oilpatch; know it very well - know their business plan and love it. Will be a core hold longterm for me. Seismic is cheap and per PGO-VTS moves - not for long.....! OMNI performs services for Seismic companies for those who do not follow the company...has an aviation division, mfg's speciality equiq for transition zone enviroment etc. A small cap GEM of the highest order --- a 5 STAR (out of a possible 5) Slider pick fwiw.
