I don't own IOM either, but on other web site today I also saw a rumor of EMC acquiring IOM.

Steve, what is the source of this ghastly rumor. A friend? Broker? Specific web site [i.e. Yahoo]? The source of a rumor is always important to take into consideration. Also, if gives people a starting point if they desire to take the time to track the rumor down. Lynn

IOM is aimed at the retail market: families, small businesses, individual corporate users. EMC sells to a companies IT department and mostly to large companies. Even though they both sell storage, there is almost nothing else alike. EMC is a high-flyer and IOM is a fallen angel from a few years back. EMC stock is perfectally suited for a stock acquisition because it is at such a premium. Bruce
