"3/11/99 10:20:16 AM ET Micron Technology (MU) was ahead 1 3/4 to 56 1/2. At a Seattle conference for investors, the company's vice president for corporate affairs told Dow Jones: "From the point where [analysts] were expecting a loss, we ended the quarter with higher shipments." The executive declined to comment on whether or not analysts' earnings estimates were in line."

What does this mean? This is not a "preannouncement" of upside. They better have shipments up since prices have dropped more than $1 per 64 Mb in the past month. (should be able to post $67 retail sources today, there seems to be a real price war at the retail level going on.) heh, MU in the red for the day now.
