You may be right, George, but one must surmise, too, that to some extent lower-than-expected deaths have occurred in England. As everyone knows, better results obtain when meningo is diagnosed early. The average quality of patient care may be better at the British P-3 sites, but more importantly there are huge disincentives and stiff insurance company-driven barriers against the average middle class family seeking early health care in the U.S., whereas in the civilized world immediate and thorough family medical care is not restricted to the rich.
