but small and mid-size cos and rest of world haven't The Q is, can PSFT take advantage of the mid-market? Can they do it in a way that can continue their historical growth (i.e. can they sign up enough small-time licenses to make up for the drop off in easy-money big-time licenses). And how well can the well-established niche players already in the smaller co's defend their turf? PSFT's support personnel, sales force, and even software design were never meant for the smaller companies. PSFT may be able to do it, but they haven't proven anything in this area yet, and it verges on a gamble that they ever will. Mike
