The only way Intel's market segmentation strategy makes any sense is if they can put AMD out of business, and I doubt that will happen.

If AMD is here to stay, Intel should be trying to maximize profits.

You believe that Intel is losing money on Celerons. That is false, so all your arguments are nonsense.

Intel's segmentation strategy (which has been a huge success) ensures that Intel gets top dollar for every chip.

Scumbria,

If you are such an AMD fan, would you please explain how they are ever going to get out of the predicament that they appear to be in to me. Their problem is MULTI-FOLD but competing with lower pricing head-on with the determined, resource rich, unrelentingly competitive and lowest cost producer doesn't seem to be a strategy that has ANY HOPE.

I think their survival is very much in doubt.

WHY DO YOU THINK OTHERWISE?

SELF CONCERNED DELUSIONS?

Barry
