Barry - You've put your finger on the problem I have called in previous posts "the business plan from hell". Giving AMD the benefit of the doubt, they have to execute almost better than perfectly to make a profit. And I have heard a rumor that when a company keeps losing money, there is gonna be a debt and large and growing debt service doesn't make things easier.

Regards,
Burt

To thread: Wasn't today "order cancellation day"? And that, if Intel doesn't warn tomorrow (or really tomorrow morning) that Intel's earnings are in the bag for the quarter?

My understanding is that Intel will have clear earnings visibility for the quarter starting tomorrow, and that it is their fidiciury responsibility to warn (lower estimates) tomorrow if they know (which they should) that they won't make their number?

(Also, Monday, I think begins their quiet period)..

If I am wrong here, can someone straighten me out please. Many thanks..

Barry:

re AMD >>I think their survival is very much in doubt.<<

I must disagree with you here. Jerry Sanders seems to have found an unlimited supply of suckers willing to provide capital to his continual, "Profits are coming", "next quarter", line of bs.

Greg
