Not sure but I agree that I thought there was a big deal about WEB going into BONDS with the purchase of GenRe. My opinion was that WEB was going to move ALL (more MOST) of GenRe's portfolio into something he considers a BETTER investment.

Anyone else wonder if 1998 and 1999 may be the first time WEB is doing a BRK share buyback?

Check out Motley Fool's comments on BRK starting today. I do think last year's comments helped RUN BRK over 80k.

Well the piece said "equity", so I suppose GRN could have had $3.9b in equity. Of course, I can't find the "wire" report anywhere...
