The article reminds me of the ones in Asia before Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan crashed in their own respective times, about housewives trading away their grocery money. All we need now are some stories of people quitting their jobs to trade full time...

Yeah maybe. Daytrading is easy when the market is going up, that's for sure.

I've been daytrading somewhat full time since 1991 and still I get the emotional equivalent of nosebleeds when it tanks, no matter what side I'm on.

The bulk of my savings is in stocks. I may be making a killing Selling the market but meanwhile my net worth is taking a hit. A serious down market can really loosen up your teeth, which reminds me.....
