Just got off the phone with IR. I was told that I should contact Bear Sterans as she had no information on any CC today. She did infer that it is possible that bear Stearns had staged a call with EM and if so they weren't advised, because that would be a Bear Stearns call. I asked if this would be a scenario for warning and she said that they wouldn't do it that way. in my opinion, CPQ is using Bear stearns to put out some kind of info to the entire investment community, using the out that BS initiated the call. Whether bad or good news will come from this call is anyone's guess, but based on the way the stock has been acting, I just don't see how it could be good. El
