Tech,
I still believe that the real powerful rally is coming during the last 3-4 sessions before the split, espeically 3/26, when we would have a 5-6 point jump. MSFT holds pretty well so far and the volatility is really driven by daytraders and momentum investors trying to squeeze another buck here and there. Those who sold out at the end to close the position before the weekend are the ones that will likely get in next Monday. Unfortunately, maybe at a higher price.

Look at the AOL split pattern. It made a huge move one week heading into the split. The DELL split is a joke. I never expected Michael Dell to do such a stupid thing, that is, to see DELL trading in to very low 40s range. I can't remember the last time DELL getting stuck in the 40s for a long period of time. It's days as a super high flyer is finished. If I were him and worried about a bloodbath after the disappointing results, I would have done a 3:2 instead of 2:1.

good luck,
larry!
