You can always tell where they stand by paying attention to what they say after the word "but" at the very end of their story. Say they do a so-called sympathetic story about gun-owners. It ends with: "...but Sarah Brady says that there are too many guns on the street and vows to press congress for tougher gun laws." OK, so then they do a piece attacking gun owners (for the sake of balance, you know). It ends with: "... but a militant right-wing gun lobby can't stand up long to a barrage from Sarah Brady." You know the spin. ...By the way, Charlton Heston marched in civil rights demonstrations long before it was politically correct.
