Oh yeah, almost forgot.

Larry Ellison says CRM (Customer Relationship Management) will grow even faster than ERP.

So much for ORCL's future growth prospects.

He is a loose cannon and it would serve the company better if Ray Lane did all the talking. Or better yet, they let the products do the talking. For some interesting insight into L.E. and the company, I would highly recommend the book 'The difference between God and L.E'.

Well, you may be right but fwiw I think Lane and Henley are grossly overrated and have no vision whatsoever. You can run a company with just Larry and its going to be a choppy ride, but Lane and Henley are more suited to squeezing blood from a dying company through cost cutting or something (like Silicon Graphics or Sybase maybe). We saw what happened when Lane was doing everything in 1996 timeframe - Psft came out of nowhere and trounced Oracle apps - no leadership from Oracle - meanwhile Lane was toying with how to spin off the apps division due to lack of profitability (funny, psft and Sap didn't have any profitability problems), all this while Oracle owned the database!
