When do earnings come out for AOL ? Oracle warned but I don't see that happening for the rest of the techs like AOL,YHOO,BCST.. most are growing faster than ever. MW Online geocities.com

Robert - In order to get cable access to the internet, you cannot use your existing modem, you need a special cable modem. This modem is capable of much higher speed than your existing 56K modem. This is also true for DSL. You need to get a special modem to hook up to the DSL lines. I am in a territory covered by US West. They have had a special here recently that if you sign up for DSL Internet connection, they will give you a free DSL modem and free installation of the Line and the Modem. I tried to sign up but was told that currently my home is located too far from the closest switching station. This is really a drag. My current phone lines are so poor that I usually connect at 21.6K or 24K, even though I have a 56K modem. Ritch
