victor,

Amen!!

The irony of the situation is that through the successful execution of a strategic plan to diversify, move into recurring, higher margin enterprise market sectors and implement a focused plan to benefit from the internet build-out BECAUSE they anticipated nearly 2 yrs. ago that pc sales would become "soft" CPQ has been, and will continue to be, punished until this concept sinks home in the investment community. (El, give me your expert opinion here: Can this be a thread record for the length of a sentence?)

Ultimately, it IS CPQ's responsibility to ensure that this message is delivered and understood (ie: IBM); however, sometimes I have to wonder just how dense some (analysts, investors, etc.) can be out there. The real key, IMHO, is not only "hammering" this message, but management must PROVE that they can consistently execute the Plan--which, unfortunately, has not effectively occurred.
