To all, PIII once again scarce in Sunday Ad inserts. No co. has a PIII box on the cover or the back cover.

1. Worst Buy advertises an IBM PIII with monitor on page 3 for $1799 and a NEC with monitor on page 2 for $1599. They have 3 AMD ads and one Celery ad, all for much lower prices, and an IBM K6-2 on the cover.

2. Office Depot has only one box ad, for a Compaq K6-2 for $699.

3. inCOMPetentUSA leadw with a Compaq K6-2, and out of 4 ads inside, has one generic PIII system for $2295. Oh, yeah bet they are lined up for that one. <g>

4. Egghead has a NEC PII for $999.

5. Office Max has an HWP Celery 400 mhz for $999. I thought the Celerys were supposed to compete with AMD?

6. Radio Shack has one overpriced K6-2 system. Hey, guys, there is a reason why you aren't selling boxes. You're prices are too high!!

7. Circus City has refrigerators on the cover and 5 box ads on page 14. 2 AMDs, one Cyrix, one PII and one PIII.
