GNET >> Reply to Bill Fleckenstein

Nice to hear your somewhat harsh voice in your post. Am I correct if I say you are the Bill Fleckenstein who writes the collumn Fleckenstein Market Rap on Stock Site? If you are the same that means you are Dino Christopholis perhaps, right? May be I am wrong.

I would expect some professionalism and courteousness from your post being an Investor Relations Official from GNET. In my post I had just mentioned my speculative thoughts about what could be the reason for GNET's spike on Friday. I said I am expecting another split or some sort of deal announcement. Nothing wrong to speculate, right.

I do fully realize and understand that split could not be announced every month, but it was just my speculative guess considering the fact that some Internet companies have comeout with 3 for 1 stock split(eg EBAY) and GNET having very little float could have done it the same way when they announced 2 for 1 split. As such I thought now that the price has reached again to nearly $90 there could be a likelyhood of another split just so that there would be more float which attracts more institutional investors due to better liquidity.

I have been a regular trader in GNET since $7 and love the company. Also I am regular user of GO2NET sites like SI, Metacrawler, 100Hot, Webmarket etc. since long. As of today I still own large qty. of GNET after having sold most of the holding during the day.

Please ignore this post if you are not the one that I thought and just happen to have identical name.

Just my views.

Bill, I agree with you as to why the stock was up - just think about the people who new this great ad concept was coming. How incredibly creative. I'm in the sales promotion business, this is one of the best ideas I've seen in years. You might note that Steve Harmon had some positive things to say about it on his thread.
I was glad to see your quick response to the comment earlier regarding using stocksite as a front page for SI. Although posting the link to Market Rap on the SI front page was the exact opposite of the post suggestion, I guess that just goes with your contrarian views :)
I enjoy your column.

sorry to be blunt but it is obvious that the stock was up because someone knew about the fight ad.

Granted it was a great idea, but how effective was it? I watched the whole fight and didn't even notice the ad. Plus the fight was a sham, Lewis won hands down and that is the only thing that will stand out in peoples minds when all is said and done.
