cyberken, re your 3709, I agree totally that believability of financial statements depend on the quality of the auditors reviewing them. As you aptly point out the firms that use recognized auditing firms can use these financial statements to promote management results. Poor record keeping and mediocre financial accounting may lead investors to doubt management's commitment to providing accurate investor information. Why do some of the posters on this thread protest so strongly that prompt financial statement preparation is irrelevant? This leads one to doubt their motives. Vic
