<<So I have resorted to suckling on my dwindling supply of The Good Cough Syrup ( the prescription kind with codeine).

Hycomine? Tastes good, you can be happy lying in bed without actually sleeping and don't cough. Or Turpenhydrate with codeine, tastes bad, you sign for it and taken with alcohol makes dealing with the public not so bad.

When I was in retail I was always sick in the winter. Had at least two bottles of Hycomine at home and two bottles of Twc at work plus a fifth of whatever was on sale. Kept me some what sane and not coughing. Probably good I quit in '79.

<Budweiser is good, especially with a side of honey-glazed donuts.

Taht used to be breakfast on Saturday mornings in college. With Bugs Bunny on the tube.

"Benadryl is a little drowsifying.."

Not for me. It's like getting hit by a baseball bat. I feel drunk for two days if I take that stuff.
