there are other products already on the market that do that, too. I am a bit too lazy to dig them all up for you though. whatever....
but now that I think about it for a minute, for some people, the most expensive part of a system could actually be the monitor - the "box" pricing is going down and down. If you are fighting with your 12 year old over the pc, he/she wants to kill aliens and you want to use it for business purposes, it sounds like you have two vastly different needs in terms of the hardware, sound cards, etc. In the situation you gave, you might actually want to have 2 pc's.

Max - in effect I think you're talking about adding a "dumb terminal"
to an existing PC. While it can be done it would have to be very low cost
to be an attractive product.
