Hi Ted, I just wanted to point out a little problem. CNBC and all the other press keeps using the phrase "when the Dow gets to 10,000". I know the probabilities strongly favor it, but since when did the world begin assuming the market always goes up? The press is reinforcing this notion by not using the phrase "if and when". This "when" assumption does a disservice to investors as it promotes a sense of no risk. Please throw in an if or two. Also, if Joe K. is going to mock the bears by replaying their correction calls, I expect CNBC to mock themselves by replaying all the Whens w/o ifs if we don't make the holy grail. Thanks, Tim

Mr. David, having lived in So. CA. for a couple of decades I was quite aware of Ed Hart, the stock market philosopher who died a couple of years ago. From time to time he continues to be mentioned on CNBC; most recently by Larry Wachtel. Do you have any bio info on this extraordinairy personality? Thanks, C. R. Hunt

Hi Ted,

I'd love to ask Joe questions about lots of things, as you suggested. But we all know Joe has this 'thing' with computers. If you can help Joe get with computers, I'm sure many of us would defray any cost of Silicon Investor just for the opportunity of talking to him directly.

I just watched the segment on tax issues related to daytrading. Among other things, they talked about Quicken and Money and how they can download your trades from many of the online brokers.

What they didn't talk about was the issue of wash sales which is one of the biggest issues for daytraders from a tax point of view and the fact that the tax programs do not handle wash sales.

Ted, please see that the issue of wash sales is raised the next time CNBC covers this topic.
