David, Peter and gang......

We seem to be a bit stalled.

I wrote about Lampert's call, which obviously corresponds largely with mine. One additional thing that he said...... he pointed out that most investors can't evaluate the science, but that, at this time, one could probably do OK just by picking the cash-rich third-tiers. That's a paraphrase, but it captures what he said during a brief "tangent". That is, he said.... it's difficult for Joe (Jane) Public to find the big-science companies, but he (she) could do OK now if he (she) just buys cash.

The intent of the T/FIF thread was to find companies with leverage, cash (the low MC:book limitation), and big-science.

I never do valuation, I just try to find leverage. Could we put together a list of companies that have a lot of cash (or emerging profit) relative to capitalization.... a list of extreme-risk companies that have a lot going for them given these criteria (leverage, cash relative to MC and/or emerging profit, and big-science)? I think most here know my favorite three picks, none of which are in Peter's "prey" list.........

Any suggestions for other companies?
