I think you are confusing a number of things here. Company sells shares to raise money. In fact, they actually sold shares with options for price higher than market which is a good thing.

Shareholders sell shares to raise money for themselves, often times for tax or personal reasons.

Short sales, which you refer to, are supposedly done because someone thinks that the company will tank or just a trade that one thinks will move in negative area.

I believe you stated that shareholder insiders were selling short the company at the same time they are giving out positive PR. If I am wrong, then I am sorry. However, right now I think you are the one who is asleep.

Scapps, what in the hell are you talking about? If this was widely reported in the news could you provide us with a link to such news. Are you talking about the company selling a put option, or perhaps about the company issuing more shares...?
