>>I feel there is still plenty of time for BII and others to focus on European expansion . . .<< Evening Jack, For the life of me I can't remember its name, but there is one recent book that reviews and highlights 10 successful internet based businesses. It has studied successful Internet based companies. It has determined that there are three common factors for success. Here they are: By the way, these are in no specific order. One: Be First Two: Be Innovative Three: Be the Best Well Jack, the Bid.Com foray into Europe will make them the first (or one of the first) to be there. Second, their Bid Buddy, and Dutch Auction style of bidding is both innovative and award winning. Third, they are working on being the best. Their alliances with their partners put them into the big leagues now. In my opinion (and it is only my opinion) I believe that they don't have too far to go to be the best. The U.S. Publicity firm will handle increasing their profile in the U.S. and Europe. The increased exposure that Interactive auctions bring will provide more exposure - which will lead to higher sales - which will lead to increased revenues - which will result in increased share value - which provides higher capitalization - which will allow them to grow their business effectively in all of their markets. I'd say it will be a prime example of the economies of scale, and a text book growth business. Also remember that one of the things that they will be selling will be the licensing of their technology. As more businesses want to get into this area, they won't be able to spend the time developing it themselves. They will have to go to someone who is set up to support their operations. Enter Bid.Com! This will mean more revenue, with minimal outlay of capital. They already have it, and are looking to sell it. So yes, the U.S. market is where the money is now, but Europe has lots of it too! When the European office opens, Bid.Com will be operating in a market where there are a combined total of 600 to 700 MILLION people. This could be tomorrow Jack! So I am very content to sit here and debate with you, Go North says, or anyone else for that matter about whether this is a stock/company with a future. For you see, I have a bunch of shares that I am sitting on. And as far as I'm concerned today brought me one step closer to news of a Press Release or two that could start the ball rolling. So good luck with your investments, and have a nice night! Crazy Canuk
