The National Post reports in its Tuesday, March 16, edition that Ballard Power Systems advanced $3.65 to $42.40, on the Toronto Stock Exchange yesterday. The National Post's Garry Marr writes in his Market Action column that Ballard raced up 9.4 per cent following a front page story in The Wall Street Journal yesterday. Goldman Sach & Co. analyst Amir Karim rates Loewen stock "market outperform" with a 12-month target price of $50. The WSJ article described Ballard's business as "booming," noting fuel cell research is being heavily financed by the world's biggest automobile makers.
