1999 could be the year that the Fuel Cell Industry takes off as major advances are set to take place.

It started yesterday with this release from Plug Power, a division of DTE, Message 6953159

And continuing today with Daimler Chrysler, auto.com

The leaders in this exciting field are

Ballard Power, Energy Partners, Plug Power, ERC and DCHT.

Ballard gets a lot of press and made an imprerssive splash in 1998.
Their symbol is BLDPF. Ballard is a highly liquid stock and has an investment from Ford to the tune of $600 million Canadien.
Ballard is focussing primarily on stationary power systems.

The one I like the best is DCHT.

DCH Technology is focussing on the smaller fuel cells, the portables, for small power needs, ideal for low power needs.

DCHT is also heavily involved in the saftey side of the hydrogen industry with their 3 proprietary sensors. dch-technology.com
