If there's a DRAM "glut," why did prices spike up 2-3 months ago?

I was thinking all along that with asian deflation, RAM should have dropped. It never really got down past a buck per mb and seems closer to 1.50-2.00 these days.

To me it looks like manipulation - by someone - BWDIK?
