Andy, why would Dell move to more to IBM hard drives when Maxtor delivers a quality product at a lower price point relative to the class supplied (4.3 is one)? The deal with Dell/IBM had more to do with flat panel displays and other configurations (service). Dell already buys hard drives from IBM. Doesn't make sense that Dell would increase its hard drive expenditures in hopes of winning business (box making) from IBM. The street.com article was blown out of proportion for Maxtor. Nonetheless, a change over would take over a year. The selling appears way overdone for this reason.
