Richard,

MacOS will run its course till what version, 8.6, 8.7...? Even microsoft knows it's not practical to build two OSs which is why windows 98 is the end of the line. Many of the critical needs for true pre-emptive multitasking and threading, better memory management, and stuff like that are things people need and want on their current non-G3 systems. There are many 604e at 200+ MHz which would welcome such features but unless something else is to come they'll never have.

Plus, it it correct to assume the OS X support is for G3 systems and not those systems (603e, 604e) with G3 accelerators?

Thanks for the info.
