Hi Teddy, the olden days were the golden days and we are about to experience them again... as we tear down the plain old plain old and build up the new.

As wireless wonk demonstrated yesterday, the time-space, now digital interpolation of content is being reinvented every so many years. Just as WDM is a take off on the first open wire carrier systems between poles that existed during the turn of the century using a variant of FDM (same thing, in principle).

do you know anyone at Frontier or IXC? Any guess if there is a wedding announcement planned for tomorrow's Merrill conference?

Frontixco? Afraid I've only heard the same rumors that you've probably heard. Does a marriage or adoption make sense to you?

Frank_C.

Teddy, well, it looks like that rumor was at least half right.

"Global Crossing Confirms To Buy Frontier Corp."

What do you think GLBX's marriage with FRO means, going forward? Of particular interest here is how will FRO's domestic strategy play out in the last mile, and what does this do for Global's overall profile? Frank_C.

ps - funny thing. Last night I closed out here by responding to this question by saying "I don't know... it's only a rumor" to a slightly different combo. I then went to sleep. This a.m. I awoke to the talking head figure of an attractive young Oriental American woman on CNBC who was giving me the answer to the same question. Wow... this new mode of comm'ing with people you don't even know is sure spooky. Cuases one to rub their eyes.
